Job Description
Job Title - Hotel Security Officer
Location - Cape Town
Position Summary:
- The Hotel Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. They must maintain a visible presence in the hotel lobby and other public areas, as well as actively patrol the premises to deter and detect any potential security threats. The ideal candidate will be presentable, fluent in English, and able to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless and secure guest experience.
- Check guest credentials and verify identification to ensure only authorized individuals access the hotel.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of all security incidents and activities.
- Respond to and resolve guest complaints or concerns related to security issues.
- Work closely with local law enforcement agencies in the event of emergencies or criminal activity.
- Provide assistance to guests in navigating the hotel and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and investigate any suspicious activity or behavior.
- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address any security vulnerabilities.

About You:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Valid Psira certificate (Preferably Grade A,B,C)
- Minimum 2 years experience in Hospitality Sector
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Matric Certificate
