Job Description
Job Summary:
- To promote and deliver quality patient care and wellness following industry standards and to execute Nursing duties within the standards, procedures and protocols set down by the South African Nursing Council and the Scope of Practice. The incumbent will collaborate with Doctors, multidisciplinary team members, and the community to provide holistic support to patients and their families and loved ones, while supervising allocated team members within a specialised unit.

About You:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- BLS qualification and updated ACLS/PALS/ATLS.
- Computer Proficiency.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council.
- Previous experience in a private hospital environment is advantageous.
- Diploma in Critical Nursing Care.
- Nursing degree/diploma.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Promote effective and high-quality patient care through the application of relevant policies and procedures, as well as the efficient management of day-to-day Unit activities.
- Effective management of cost centre and operational unit activities and processes, including control of equipment, tools, stock, to required levels and according to prescribed guidelines.
- Adhere to the principles and standards of Patient Advocacy according to SANC Acts and Omissions, Company Code of Conduct, Patient rights, and Responsibility Charter, National Millennium Development Goals and responsibility of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
- Ward administration ensures compliance with protocols, security, a safe patient environment, and the Group's patient care standards, as well as policies and procedures.
- Perform all duties following the South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core Standards.
