- The purpose of this position is to perform electromechanical maintenance and repairs on plant equipment to ensure optimal reliability, safety, and efficiency of operations, while minimising downtime and supporting continuous production performance.

About You:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Willing to work in confined spaces
- N Levels in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering OR National Diploma in Engineering
- Technical experience:
- Steam reticulation – Steam pumps, PRV, Safety valves, Steam traps, Condensate Air reticulation – Compressors, receivers, Air dryers
- 3 yrs experience in applying technical concepts in a food Manufacturing plant
- High Speed Machinery, Packaging machinery, PLC, SCADA, Fault finding, Pneumatic & Electrical controls Civils and building maintenance – Carpentry, Tiling, Painting, Building, Plumbing
- Water reticulation – Pumps, control valves, Glycol systems, Chill water system Effluent/Sewer knowledge – Submersible pumps, flow meters, Jetting, and rodding
- Toolbox
- Electrical – VSD, Motors, Lighting, Generators, HVACS, Blowers, Fault Mechanical – Gearbox, Pumps, Flanges, Seals, Fabrication
- Willing to work overtime, shifts and do standby duties if necessary
- Willing to work in extreme conditions
- Trade tested Millwright

Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in Way Better teams
- Maintain and repair of plant and equipment to ensure optimal reliability and availability
- Perform root cause analysis on processing equipment
- Complete job cards and update records
- Perform root cause analysis on steam, refrigeration and water equipment
- Provide technical and specialist support to the maintenance and production team
- Conduct ad-hoc activities
- Optimize machines with pro-active approach to continuous improvement
- Inspect and test equipment as per prescribed ELKE schedule
- Increase machine availability
- Conduct fault-finding and analysis of machine condition and failures
- Do modifications
- Ensure that all process control software is backed up and kept up to date
Assemble, install, test and maintain any mechanical and electrical equipment
