Introduction

VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd operates white maize mills in Mokopane and Louis Trichardt in Limpopo, and Mashishing in Mpumalanga, as well as a wheat mill and bakery in Frankfort in the Free State.

Job Description

The successful candidate will form part of the accounting department within the maize division of VKB Milling.

About You:

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Completed Articles (SAIPA/ SAICA) will be advantageous
Excellent computer skills and the ability to work with Excel on an advanced level
Applicable experience in a fast-moving operational environment
Experience in a processing environment within the financial function will be advantageous
Experience on Microsoft Navision or Business Central will serve as recommendation
Relevant BCom degree with Accountancy or comparable accounting qualification

Duties and Responsibilities

Assisting with audit queries
Spot check creditors reconciliation
Processing month end journals and invoices to be approved by the accountant.
VAT Calculation
Assisting with Sale and Purchase orders
CAPEX/Asset Register Management (Capex applications / Capitalise assets / Reconcile of assets and asset projects in progress)
Performing reasonability checks
Assisting with Reporting
Assisting with queries and finance related issues
Compiling reconciliations of control accounts
Petty Cash
