Job Description:
- As a General Assistant, you will ensure excellent customer service, maintain store merchandising standards, and uphold safety and cleanliness in your assigned area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product inquiries and recommendations.
- Customer Service
- Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally.
Performance & Problem-Solving
- Identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Meet store targets with accuracy and efficiency.
- Make informed decisions in line with company policies.
Merchandising & Stock Management
- Ensure accurate shelf pricing and labeling in your designated area.
- Organize and merchandise stock safely according to store layout plans.
- Report damaged stock to the Store Manager.
Housekeeping & Safety
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations (e.g., wearing safety gear).
- Maintain a clean, obstacle-free workspace for customer and staff safety.
- Complete required checklists and adhere to cleaning schedules.
Teamwork & Communication
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
- Handle workplace pressure with professionalism.
- Communicate clearly with customers and stakeholders.

About You:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Grade 12 with no prior experience.
- Grade 10 (NQF Level 3) + 1 year of relevant experience OR
- Work Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Legal: Valid South African ID or work permit.
- Language: Proficiency in English and the local language.
- Skills: Basic arithmetic, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
